Types of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels

Blenheim

The Blenheim is perhaps the most iconic Cavalier color. It features a rich chestnut red marking against a pearly white background. Tricolor

As the name suggests, the Tricolor Cavalier boasts three distinct colors: black, white, and tan. The base is primarily black and white, with tan markings appearing above the eyes, on the cheeks, inside the ears, and under the tail. Ruby

The Ruby Cavalier is a solid, rich red color. There should be no white markings. The deep, vibrant red hue gives these Cavaliers a regal and eye-catching look. Black and Tan

The Black and Tan Cavalier features a black base coat with tan markings in the same areas as the Tricolor – above the eyes, on the cheeks, inside the ears, on the chest, and under the tail. The combination of black and tan creates a dramatic and handsome appearance. Similar to the Ruby, white markings are not permitted in this color variation.
